Position Vacant: Facility Manager

Located only 45 minutes south east of Perth CBD, Serpentine Camping Centre sits among well maintained lawns, with cabins shaded by gum and peppermint trees. 

Groups enjoy exclusive use of the site during their stay which lends itself to a safe community environment. Guests have access to bushland adventures, in-house recreational facilities and the optional use of third-party adventure providers. For day or side trips to break up the stay, Serpentine Falls and the Serpentine National Park are popular attractions.


The Role
Baptist Churches Western Australia is seeking a suitable person to manage the facility, services, grounds and existing staff. 

The successful applicants will be responsible for, or have oversight of;

  • Administration for the facility and supporting services.
  • Coordination of guest arrivals and departures.
  • Oversee maintenance of grounds and facilities.
  • Contributing to the continuous quality improvement of the camping ministry.
  • Compliance with occupational safety and health requirements.

Formal Education, Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Demonstrated administration and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills: including high level people and management skills and the ability to work in a team and develop unity amongst staff
  • Demonstrated practical and maintenance skills: particularly with property maintenance
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Commitment to high quality customer service
  • Demonstrated knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of occupational safety and health principles
  • Experience in PC operations and software – including Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Experience in Hospitality
  • Evidence of initiative in various situations
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle a range of competing tasks
  • Australian permanent residency or citizenship
