Christ for all Nations Australia Pacific – Finance Officer/Bookkeeper


Christ for all Nations (CfaN) is a worldwide Christian Ministry started by Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke in 1974. Since that time more than 83 million salvations have been recorded in countries around the world. CfaN works with local Churches and Christians to share the life saving message of Jesus Christ to a lost world. CfaN continues his legacy and have set the challenge to double the number of salvations over the next decade. 

The Australia Pacific Office, based in Burleigh Heads QLD, is seeking to employ a Finance Officer who will ultimately be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial procedures and transactions. The position reports directly to the Office Manager and to the Australia Pacific Board. 

The successful applicant should be familiar with audits, invoices and budget preparations. You will demonstrate interest in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organisational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks. 

This position requires a fast learner who is self-motivated to learn and is willing to commit to the vision and ministry of CfaN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
  • Prepare balance sheets
  • Process invoices
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Payroll
  • BAS – Quarterly
  • Superannuation – Quarterly
  • Foreign Currency Payments
  • Liaise with Donors, Bank, ATO, other international offices in resolving finance related issues
  • Update internal systems with financial data
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Manage bank accounts
  • Participate in financial audits
  • Track bank deposits and payments
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Review and implement financial policies
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned


Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • Experience using financial software Xero 
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM would be advantageous
  • Medium to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Knowledge of financial regulations
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Sharp time management skills
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
