Residential Chaplain and Facilities Manager


We are seeking a full-time (38 hours per week) Residential Chaplain and Facilities Manager to work in a pastoral, practical and administrative role at Brisbane School of Theology (BST).

Brisbane School of Theology is a Bible-centred, interdenominational training college preparing Christians for mission and ministry for nearly 80 years. We are an evangelical college, which means our core values and beliefs are shaped by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our community is made up of Christians from different cultures, ages and denominations.

 

The Residential Chaplain and Facilities Manager will be responsible to:

  • Provide pastoral care, and practical and administrative support, for on-campus residents.
  • Facilitate the application process and induction of new residents.
  • Provide maintenance and facilitate contractors for up-keep and upgrades to the property.
  • Implement and oversee Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide event support for BST events and groups hiring the facility.

 

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Skills

  • Strong commitment to the Christian faith
  • Diploma in theological studies (preferably)
  • Experience in pastoral care roles
  • Experience in maintenance, or trade experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work occasionally outside of core business hours
  • Demonstrated capacity to work well and enthusiastically as part of a team
