Tas Christian Fund (TCF) funds evangelism projects both large and small, once-off and multi-year, throughout the Tasmania. This role is for someone who is passionate about evangelism in Tasmania, and is well connected in the church space around the state. Because grant rounds are run annually, the right person is able to flex with the workload needed depending on the grant cycle. If you’ve got an entrepreneurial outlook on life, and a strength in admin and processes, you’ll find this role really satisfying. You’ll be managing your own time to see work completed to agreed deadlines, overseeing all TCF processes and activities, reporting to the committee, and undertaking any ‘face of TCF’ work required throughout the process. The role also has a strong coaching component, as we work alongside all applicants to ensure project applications are the best they can be. So, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strengths in giving specific and helpful feedback, and working alongside others to make improvements and achieve a goal.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be the ‘front door’ of TCF; Promoting TCF to churches, organisations and potential applicants, and responding to enquiries.
  • Undertake granting activities, including writing the Applicant Information Pack and reviewing grant criteria, pre-screening all applications and provide specific feedback to applicants, and regularly communicating to applicants via email, website and social media.
  • Provide clear feedback; both to applicants on their pre-submissions and grant applications, as well as to the TCF Committee.
  • Work with other roles supporting the TCF Committee, including graphic designer, accountant, TCF Data Oversight, and others as required.
  • Liaise with TCF Committee, and prepare reporting as required, including financial reporting, grant round summaries, and presentation of data and analytics.
  • Manage TCF database and email platform.
  • Oversee payments and reporting schedules for funded projects.
  • Attend all TCF meetings (Hobart, Tas).

The successful applicant will:

  • Have previous experience in administration and/or management
  • Be highly personable, friendly with ability to connect with people from various backgrounds
  • Have strong analytic skills, and an ability to give feedback in a clear, helpful, and confident manner to both applications, and the committee.
  • Be spiritually mature and committed to a local Church community
  • Be self-sufficient and independent with capacity to take initiative and make decisions as required, and meet agreed timelines.
