This position is part-time 3 days per week.
Team: Fundraising and Marketing (FAM)
Location: Level 1 451 Hunter Street Newcastle NSW – but role could also be undertaken remotely
Reports to: Head of Fundraising
Direct Reports: Nil

Context
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Australia is an expanding charity with a strong vision and passionate workforce. The Fundraising and Marketing team exists to build the financial capacity of CAP through the development of strategies aligned to our goals, initiatives and targets allowing us to attract, maintain and deepen partnerships and income streams.
Purpose
You are responsible for executing all fundraising campaigns and appeals as defined in the Fundraising and Marketing strategy. You will provide excellent project management for all these campaigns and appeals ensuring that CAP meets fundraising targets and is strengthening relationships with individual donors via all touchpoints.

You are an enthusiastic fundraising professional passionate about delivering all campaigns and appeals with excellence. Personally, you are passionate about participating (and asking others to join you!) in God’s redemptive story, serving the poor and vulnerable facing financial distress.
Key Responsibilities
- To coordinate the planning and execution of all financial appeals (e.g. EOFY and Christmas) with a key focus of driving strategy and meeting income targets
- To coordinate the planning and execution of all campaigns - all campaigns are to be designed around deepening relationships (nurturing) and/or a financial ask
- To work with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to develop a NTD (new to data base) campaign – welcoming and nurturing unique, strategy driven relationships with a goal towards regular giving
- Take the primary lead on agreed fundraising, marketing and communications projects/campaigns as set out by the strategic plan and work as part of the wider FAM team and external contractors to achieve agreed project objectives. These may include (but not be exclusively limited) to the following:
- Fundraising Events
- Fundraising appeals
- Life Changer events
- Annual report
- Client video stories
- Supporter Survey
- Liaise with the project owner to meet agreed expectations around project timescale, scope, quality and costs.
- Ensure consistent, cross channel coordination of all campaigns and appeals
- Ensure that CAP’s brand and messaging is adhered to across all campaigns and appeals
- Evaluate the success of an appeal/campaign at pre-determined points throughout, as well as post appeal/campaign
Measurable Outputs
- One-off income targets as per strategic plan (eg Appeals)
- Supporter Engagement measures via survey and other modes
Person Specification
- Experienced fundraiser
- Experience in growing and nurturing relationships through cultivating, soliciting and stewarding supporters
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to coordinate several projects at once, prioritise work and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in supporting the broader team in developing supporter relationships and achieving effective fundraising outcomes
- Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills that support cross-functional engagement and a high level of problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Self-motivated and innovative
- Ability to work independently and as part of a creative, agile team
- Willing to participate in team meetings which include prayer and worship
