Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Australia is an expanding charity with a strong vision and passionate workforce. CAP is building a movement of Christians that are committed to tackling both material and relational poverty. CAP has a vision that no one living in Australia will face financial distress alone, we believe in a future where hope, community and generosity abound so that all will flourish.

Jesus is at the core of all we do here at CAP. We exist to inspire and equip a movement of churches within Australia to walk alongside those in financial distress. CAP provides the training, tools, support and encouragement churches need to effectively walk alongside those in financial distress.

The Fundraising and Marketing team exists to build the financial capacity of CAP through the development of strategies aligned to our goals, initiatives and targets allowing us to attract, maintain and deepen partnerships and income streams.

You and your team will be working collaboratively across the organisation and be instrumental in conceptualising and executing marketing campaigns that will ensure that we continue to grow new partnerships with churches and individuals and drive towards our goals and targets to support current partnerships.

You long for a movement of churches in Australia to be participating in God’s redemption story – full of individuals who are invited into this story and are called to a life of serving the poor and vulnerable who are in financial distress.

You will collaborate with people across the organisation to envision, develop, launch and optimise our church and donor products that allow our partnerships to grow and the movement to expand. You take a posture of relationship with all of our partners – keen to understand what they need from a partnership with CAP and the energy to deliver this.

    • Envision, design and launch new partnership products that will drive growth, delight and retain stakeholders, and are aligned to the overall business objectives and the CAP brand

  • Develop mechanisms to capture the ‘voices’ of our partnerships, understand blockers to stakeholder satisfaction, engagement and commitment and create a clear framework for integrating learnings into the product strategy
  • Drive the continuous improvement of our partnership products alongside key internal stakeholders
  • Use data and analytics to inform strategy and planning

Measurable Outputs

  • Delivery of product development strategy plans and roadmaps
  • Execution of product initiatives within the organisational strategic plan

  • Proven experience in crafting data-driven product strategy and translating into detailed roadmaps based on cross-functional inputs

  • Able to influence, gather input and drive alignment among a diverse set of stakeholders. You are able to lead with authority and motivate others to deliver on longer term projects as well as day to day operations
  • Ability to collect and analyse data to project future behaviours
  • Understanding of the Australian Church landscape
  • Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal and visual – with a good eye for design and experience translating a brand into digital and physical assets
  • Entrepreneurial and can make things happen
