Mueller Community Church is an evangelical church with strong emphasis on worship and Bible teaching. MCC recognises the necessity for us as Christ followers being empowered by the Holy Spirit for godly living and effective service.
MCC is a member of Christian Community Churches of Australia (CCCAust) servicing the Redcliffe Peninsula. The church is part of the wider Mueller Community which includes an Early Learning Centre, Prep to Year 12 College, Outside School Hours Care, Retirement Village and Residential Aged-care facility.

General Role Description
The Worship Director is a spiritual and organizational leader who oversees the worship ministries of Mueller Community Church. This role requires leading our worship services which includes the implementation of MCC’s vision, mission, and strategy in the worship ministry. This will require crafting the themes for each worship service in conjunction with the church leadership, training and nurturing team members to use music and the arts for worship and ensuring each service is led in such a way that the congregation has an opportunity for an authentic encounter with God’s presence.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Build the necessary teams to carry out the worship program of MCC.
- Plan the corporate worship services of MCC in consultation with church leadership or nominated representative
- Direct all weekly activities and rehearsals as necessary
- Be involved in training and upskilling our worship teams.
- Work closely with the pastors/elders responsible to develop worship services.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of new worship experiences with modern, contemporary and traditional styles of worship music and formats.
- Be open to change and the shifting of responsibilities as growth and ministry develop.
- Involvement in Mueller College chapel bands and help develop teams in consultation with the chapels co-ordinator and worship band.
Be a link between school and church worship bands
- Assist with Youth and Young Adults Ministry where required. This will require an allocation of time and to be negotiated.
Essential Personal Qualities
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.
- Experience in leading worship, vocalists and musicians desirable.
- Sense a calling to serve in this kind of ministry role and ability to clearly articulate that calling to others.
- Track record of success as a team builder.
- Experience as a leader and recruiter of volunteers in all areas of Worship Ministry in a church with multiple worship services with nurturing talent in multiple age groups.
- Experience in leading worship that transcends modern, contemporary and traditional genres.
- Heart for the spiritual development of those in the congregation and the worship ministry.
- Relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading worship.
- Skilled in the use of technology in worship.
- Ability to incorporate other art forms as needed
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth.
- Fully support the mission, vision of MCC.
- Must have a teachable heart.
