Our Daily Bread Ministries exists to make the life-changing wisdom of the Bible understandable and accessible to all. We do this through creating and distributing print, digital, video, and audio resources that help believers grow as disciples of Jesus, and deepen their Christian faith.
Position Summary
In this new role you will be an integral part of the Ministry Relationship team, enhancing our service and relationship with our readers, pastors, and our ministry partners across all channels. You will be committed to maintaining and enhancing long term existing relationships with the readers of our Biblical resources and be able to identify new ministry opportunities through your communications.
We are looking for someone with a heart for ministry and our Biblical content, who is used to delivering a high level of customer service. You will be most comfortable making and answering phone calls and replying to emails in a proactive manner. You will also need to be an active team player assisting your peers at busy times.
In this role you will work closely with the Supervisor of the Ministry relations team and be part of the wider ministry services team. You will be the key person providing excellent customer service to our readers, by answering and making phone calls, responding to emails. This role is vital in ensuring that our Biblical resources are distributed widely across our print and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively answer requests and enquiries via phone or email providing excellent and timely customer service
- Develop good relationships with our readers, pastors and partners
- Be able to identify new ministry opportunities through your communications
- Continually increase product knowledge and grow an understanding of our wider product range.
- Provide necessary support to the ministry team when required
- Liaise and build good internal relationships with our digital marketing team, logistics manager and finance people
- Accurately update your interactions within our CRM
Skills and Experience to be successful
- Have a demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and able to work independently and with team members
- Have a genuine commitment to customer service excellence
- Possess strong verbal and written and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Google Docs.
- Have a strong conviction of the life changing power of the gospel of Christ.
- Be actively involved in the life of the church through attendance and ministry involvement
Highly Regarded Job Requirements
- Proven experience working in sales and/or customer service environments
- Experience with working with people from different ethnic, language, and cultural backgrounds is preferred.
- Previous experience working in Not for Profit sector, in particular Christian faith-based ministry
- Previous experience with Digital Customer Support
- Previous Salesforce experience
