About Us
Converge International is a leader in providing health & wellbeing and people risk management solutions. We were founded by a Christian Charity organisation over 60 years ago, providing pastoral support and chaplaincy to workplaces onsite. Today, our Christian foundation still runs through and through, in all we do.
Now, we provide a range of Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), counselling, crisis response, workplace pastoral care services, training, conflict resolution and consulting services. We are a wholly Australian owned organisation with the wellbeing of people and their workplaces at the heart of all we do.
We love to partner with other Christian organisations, to support one another in achieving our broader mission.
About the Role
The Onsite team provides services which proactively support the mental health and wellbeing of our customers. We’re seeking qualified and experienced pastoral support workers, pastoral counsellors or chaplains who are able to respond to a variety of Onsite workplace support needs (including Walk and Talk, one on one pastoral counselling, and small group facilitation). The onsite workplace will require an individual who is able to support people of various backgrounds and faiths, through pastoral counselling and guidance, aiming to have a positive impact on the individual’s wellbeing.
We are looking for Chaplains or Pastoral Support workers across Australia, as we have multiple roles on offer. We are also growing very quickly and will have ongoing opportunities available. The hours on offer can vary greatly, often a lot of Christian Organisations and Chaplains come on board with us as a great way to supplement paid work with their existing volunteer or part time work.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are caring, compassionate and driven to make a positive difference in people's lives
- Have had experience in a relevant role, along with the relevant qualification and registrations.
- Is a relationship builder, and enjoys working with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Have demonstrated ability to manage own time, priorities and workload factors
- Are knowledgeable, proactive, quick thinking
- A current driver's licence and if relevant, your own vehicle
Working at Converge means joining a diverse, talented, and caring community where our people feel included, valued and connected. We hire for heart. We are passionate about transforming the wellbeing of people at work. It’s at the core of all that we do.
