Inspiring Hope is a Christian ministry that through teen camps and extended stay programs, seeks to help teenage girls find their unique worth and create life-long change.
Responding to the growing need in our community, Inspiring Hope is launching a brand-new intervention program for teenage girls who have disengaged with their education or work and are struggling to find stability in their life. The program works in conjunction with all existing services, such as counsellors and psychologists, taking the participants on a personalised journey to unpack and re-align key areas of their lives, with the purpose of inspiring them to be all they are created to be.

Join the Team
The 4-week Intervention programs will run throughout 2023 in March, June, August and November at Camp Fletcher, Hazelbrook, NSW. For each of these extended stay programs we are looking for:
1 x Mentor Team Leader
3 x Mentor Team Members
If you can commit to 4 weeks of full-time work on a rotating roster, for each of the 4 extended stay programs, and have a passion to make a difference in a teenage girl’s life, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Inspiring Hope camp mentor team.
Mentor Team Leader
As the Mentor Team Leader your role will be to support the staff of the 4-week intervention program as well as working with teen girls when they need extra support during the program.
Key areas of responsibility will be:
- Lead and coordinate the Inspire Teens Monthly Intervention program.
- Work alongside the Mentor Team to trouble shoot escalation issues.
- Developing and maintaining a culture and atmosphere of excellence.
What we are looking for in our Mentor Team Leader:
- Preferred by not necessary Diploma in community services, Youth Work or an associated qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership.
- Ability to maintain positive professional relationships with stakeholders, clients and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
- Current drivers’ licence.
- Willingness to work in an organisation adopting a Christian ethos.
- Knowledge of drugs and their effects; knowledge of symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal.
- Knowledge of motivational interview techniques
Mentor Team Member
As a Mentor Team Member, you will be working alongside the teen girls to see them grow and develop in all aspects of their lives, providing practical support as they work through their struggles and begin to move their life forward.
Key areas of responsibility will be:
- Work alongside the Teen girls in the capacity of a mentor.
- Work alongside the girls to trouble shoot escalation issues.
- Being a part of and maintaining a culture and atmosphere of excellence.
What we are looking for in our Mentor Team Members:
- Preferred by not necessary Diploma in community services, Youth Work or an associated qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in working as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain positive professional relationships with participants and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised.
- Current drivers’ licence (preferred)
- Willingness to work in an organisation adopting a Christian ethos.
- Demonstrated history of setting and applying good professional boundaries.
- Willingness to provide emotional, social and practical support within limits.
- Knowledge of drugs and their effects; knowledge of symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal. (preferred)
