Role Overview
We are seeking dynamic and experienced cleaners to support the day-to-day operations at our Gold Coast site. You will be responsible for cleaning our accommodation, dining and meeting facilities ensuring every adventure is safe, memorable, and aligned with CYC Adventures’ standards and values. Casual, part time and full time roles are available.
Key Responsibilities
Guest room and public area cleaning
- Daily cleaning: Clean and sanitize all guest rooms and bathrooms, including dusting all surfaces, scrubbing and mopping floors, and cleaning mirrors and glass.
- Bed making: Change linens, make beds neatly, and ensure a fresh and clean presentation.
- Restocking: Replenish guest room supplies such as toiletries, towels, coffee, and tissues.
- Waste disposal: Empty trash bins, replace liners, and remove used food service items and trash from all areas.
Reporting and maintenance
- Report issues: Immediately report any maintenance problems, damages, or malfunctioning equipment to management.
- Lost and found: Report any items left behind by guests and handle them according to hotel policy.
Guest and staff interaction
- Guest requests: Respond to guest requests for extra supplies or other miscellaneous items in a timely and courteous manner.
- Assist other departments: Provide assistance to other departments when needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
Inventory and safety
- Maintain supplies: Keep track of cleaning supplies, linens, and other amenities, and inform supervisors when stock is low.
- Follow protocols: Adhere to all hotel and departmental safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols.
What We’re Looking For
- A committed Christian will to support the ethos of CYC and who views their work as a way bring glory to God
- Experience in housekeeping, or a similar role.
- Organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills; ability to prioritise under pressure.
- Communication skills; capable of working within a diverse team.
- Valid QLD driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
