The Opportunity

Location:  Brisbane (Springwood) QLD

Role Type:  Full-time I Management

 

We seek a ministry-hearted Manager with a strong passion and proven experience in leading supporter communications. In this role, you will oversee the strategy and delivery of all supporter-facing communications, ensuring they are biblically faithful, engaging, and tailored to our diverse audience. You will play a key role in integrating messaging across Vision’s listening, reading, watching, and interacting experiences, guided by our Connect – Communicate – Cultivate framework, to deepen supporter engagement and strengthen alignment with our mission.

Role Purpose

  • Collaborate in developing and implementing strategic communication and donor engagement plans to support the ministry’s mission.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of print and digital materials that effectively communicate the organisation’s services to diverse audiences.
  • Contribute to the ideation and copywriting of impactful national and local advertising campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure a unified communication approach that drives ministry outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the development and execution of strategic communication and fundraising campaigns that engage and grow donor audiences. You’ll develop and oversee a wide range of content—from emails and newsletters to publications and promotional materials—ensuring alignment with ministry values and brand integrity. You’ll manage direct mail and advertising initiatives, collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers, and oversee the production of key ministry publications. Strong planning and reporting skills are essential, as is a commitment to spiritual authenticity and alignment with the organisation’s mission. Flexibility to support additional tasks and a proactive, team-oriented approach will also be key to success.

 

Successful Candidate Profile

This position requires a strategic and creative communicator who is passionate about the ministry and skilled in engaging diverse audiences through compelling content. The successful candidate will have a strong background in campaign strategy, donor engagement, and content creation across digital, print, and broadcast platforms. You will be an exceptional writer and editor, capable of crafting clear, persuasive, and mission-aligned messaging that resonates with supporters and stakeholders. You are highly organised, proactive, and collaborative, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality. A deep personal faith and commitment to Christian values are essential, along with a desire to grow in spiritual maturity and biblical understanding. Your attention to detail, creative thinking, and alignment with the ministry’s mission will be key to your success in this role.
