Role Purpose
In this role, you will design, implement, and optimise IT infrastructure and security controls across diverse platforms. You’ll lead initiatives that enhance system performance, availability, and security, while partnering with external providers and building internal capability. Your contribution will directly influence the organisation’s technology strategy, ensuring robust systems that enable our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Strengthen security controls and manage platforms like Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory.
- Oversee endpoint management, system compliance, patching, and device health.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and lead reviews of major incidents.
- Support Microsoft 365, Intune, Hyper-V, DNS, VPN, firewalls, and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Resolve escalated service desk requests and coordinate with vendors.
- Assist with audits, procurement, disaster recovery planning, and scheduled tests.
- Deliver support across a variety of technical areas and assist during emergencies as required.
Successful Candidate Profile
You are a seasoned IT professional with a strong foundation in infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. You thrive in complex environments, balancing technical excellence with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. You are proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes that align with our mission.
Essential Skills and Experience
- 5+ years’ expert-level experience in IT infrastructure administration (Active Directory, Windows Server, Hyper-V).
- Proven experience in cyber security operations and governance, including Microsoft Defender and SIEM platforms.
- Strong networking and firewall administration skills, including VPN and security controls.
- Competence in backup and disaster recovery solutions across on-prem and cloud workloads.
Desirable
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst.
- Degree or diploma in computer science or related discipline.
- Experience with AWS and Azure services, Linux administration, and broadcast technologies.
