OOSH Program Coordinator (Full Time – Educational Leader)
ROOSH is a ministry of Ryde Baptist Church and collaborates closely with Northcross Christian School. Our not-for-profit service offers Before and After School Care during the school term and a Vacation Care program during the school holidays in a compassionate, nurturing, Christian environment. The role includes split shifts throughout the week running each session and designated programming/admin time.
This individual is responsible for:
- Managing the program's floor operations for a 75-place service
- Guiding and directing a young team of educators and juniors
- Designing and implementing an appropriate educational program for primary-aged children.
- Shaping the pedagogical practices and approach of the service and its educators
Required qualifications and attributes (or obtain before commencing):
- Be an Australian Citizen or have evidence of Australian Work Rights
- Hold a current Child Protection certificate (CHCPRT025)
- Hold a current First Aid certificate (HLTAID012)
- Hold a current CPR training certificate (HLTAID009)
- Hold a Food Safety Supervisor certificate (SITXFSA005 and SITXFSA006)
- Hold a current Working with Children Check
- Knowledge and understanding of National Quality Framework including National Quality Standards, Education and Care services National Laws and Regulations, School Aged Care framework (My Time, Our Place” V2.0, 2022, Assessment and Rating process
- Experience working with children
Desirable qualifications
- Hold a Diploma of School Aged Care (equivalent or higher)
- Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (equivalent or higher)
- Similar Qualification
Children’s Services Award $30 - $35/hour (depending on qualifications)

+ Workers Retention Payment (currently 15% increase on hourly rate)

Work hours – Monday to Friday
Shift 1: 7:15am – 9:15am
Shift 2: 2:20pm – 6:05pm
Programming: 9 hours of weekly programming time, flexible, can be Worked From Home
