Business Operations Director
Location: Clayton Church of Christ Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (38 hours per week) Salary: Competitive
Clayton Church of Christ is in an exciting season of growth and transformation as we pursue our vision to build disciples who represent Jesus to everyone, everywhere, with everything. We are a strong Life Group–based, multicultural, medium-sized church with weekly English and Chinese worship services. As we strengthen our gathered church, we are also preparing for a future focused on mobilising a disciple-making movement.
We are seeking a like-minded, highly capable individual to join our Senior Leadership Team as Business Operations Director. This role provides key leadership across all operational areas of the church and will lead and support a dedicated staff team. It requires both relational warmth and strong strategic, organisational, and systems-focused leadership.
Key Areas of Leadership and Oversight:
- Human Resources (approx. 19 staff)
- Information Technology
- Governance and Compliance
- Facilities Management
- Administration
- Project and Event Management
- Finance, including payroll
We are looking for a leader who:
- Identifies with the vision, mission, and values of Clayton Church of Christ
- Has a minimum of five years’ relevant experience and/or qualifications
- Can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Demonstrates proven ability to lead, manage, and empower staff
- Is able to think strategically while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Is well organised with excellent communication, relational, and planning skills
- Holds permanent work rights in Australia
