Anglicare is seeking a values-aligned NILS & Service Support Manager to provide senior operational leadership for No Interest Loans (NILS) and service support functions in our Financial Wellbeing & Community division. This role leads and develops NILS staff and operations and provides senior oversight to the overall client journey process, systems, functions and wrap-around supports for people accessing Financial Wellbeing services. It requires strong not-for-profit business discipline, oversight of budgets, reporting, quality and compliance and both direct and indirect leadership for frontline operations.
- About the Role
- Lead and manage the NILS team (Sydney and surrounds), fostering a strong, positive and high-performing culture open to innovation and change
- Coach and develop staff and leaders
- Support Regional NSW NILS team, fostering cohesion and alignment and overseeing professional practice and contractual reporting (dotted line management) – includes occasional regional travel (2-4 times/year)
- Oversee processes and contractual reporting for additional minor programs
- Drive change, lead and participate in projects and foster consistency and effectiveness in business processes across Financial Wellbeing services – especially regarding client access, journey and experience
- Ensure high‑quality, trauma‑informed service delivery which achieves best possible outcomes for clients and meets all reporting and compliance requirements
- Seek and develop funding opportunities, set and manage budgets, and achieve performance outcomes
- Actively contribute to divisional strategy and service design as part of leadership team
- Build strong partnerships with community, government and funders

- Proven leadership experience in not‑for‑profit or community services
- Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong communication, system and process improvement skills
- Experience managing funding, reporting and budgets
- Passion for financial inclusion and supporting vulnerable communities
- Ability to lead change and collaborate across teams
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Social Work, Community Services, Management or similar)
- Willing to travel between various locations (flexible work is available around operational requirements)
