POSITION PURPOSE
The Craft Coordinator (Volunteer) is responsible for planning, preparing and coordinating craft activities for programs supporting women and children. This role ensures that sessions are well- organised, engaging, and appropriately resourced, contributing to a positive and meaningful participant experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and prepare craft activities suitable for program participants
- Source and organise materials within budget or provided resources
- Prepare craft examples in advance of sessions
- Ensure activities are accessible, inclusive and in line with security requirements
- Work with staff to align activities with program goals
- Maintain stock of craft supplies and identify replenishment needs
- Provide clear instructions and guidance for volunteers delivering activities
COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION
- Liaise with Volunteer Manager regarding upcoming sessions
- Communicate material needs in advance
- Submit required gate lists for approval
- Support scheduling and planning of craft activities across programs
- Provide feedback on what activities are working well
SUPPORT DURING PROGRAMS (AS REQUIRED)
- Attend sessions occasionally to support volunteers and participants
- Assist with set up and pack down if attending
- Provide guidance and troubleshooting during activities
GENERAL DUTIES
- Work collaboratively with the PN team towards shared vision
- Attend Volunteer training and meetings (when required)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (DESIRABLE)
- Experience with crafts or creative activitiesExperience working or volunteering in community services
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice
TIME COMMITMENT
Flexible volunteer role. Estimated 2–5 hours per week depending on program needs. Some additional time may be required for preparation ahead of key activities or events.
