About the role
As a Camping Coordinator, you will;
- Strategically develop and expand SUAs Holiday Camping ministry across Victoria, including but not limited to holiday break camps at Camp Coolamatong.
- Provide spiritual, practical and administrative support to Camp Team Leaders and volunteers representing a wide range of age, experience and church traditions.
- Network with children’s and youth ministers/pastors, churches and local Christian organisations to partner with them in providing leadership development opportunities and life transforming experiences in a camping environment.
- Bring expert ability to manage volunteer suitability screening and safe camping environments.
This position is part-time (2 days per week) and will ideally be based in the Melbourne metropolitan office in Eastern suburbs (although requests to work within a regional Victorian area will be considered). This is a hybrid position with a combination of office-based time and working from home.

Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working or volunteering within a Christian setting;
- Experience in designing and delivering camps for children, youth and families;
- Demonstrated competence in risk management and problem solving under pressure;
- Demonstrated success in initiating and maintaining stakeholder relationships;
- Qualifications in outdoor education and/or working in a camp environment will be highly regarded;
