Youth & Young Adults Pastor (Part-Time)

Brighton Beach Church is seeking a visionary and relational Youth & Young Adults Pastor to spearhead the growth of our youth & young adult ministries. This role is designed for a builder — someone passionate about creating a vibrant, safe, and spiritually engaging environment for young people while fostering deep connections within the Brighton community and developing the next generation of leaders.

We are a vibrant, growing community in the heart of Melbourne’s Bayside. Our vision is to be a multiplying church—planting new congregations, raising leaders, and shaping a disciple-making culture that impacts our city and beyond.

This role is part-time (2 days per week) however there are additional workdays or roles available depending on the applicant’s gifting and experience.

Key Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Overseeing and developing an engaging youth program, including growing a leadership team
  • Leading our young adult community into deeper discipleship
  • Connecting with the local schools, community groups and other churches
  • Be involved in relevant church leadership teams

Who We Are Looking For

  • A relational and inspiring leader with a genuine desire to see young people thrive and grow in their faith.
  • Experienced in building teams and facilitating programs or events.
  • Ability to communicate with young people, parents, and church leadership.
  • Theologically grounded, spiritually mature, and emotionally resilient.
  • The ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule while working closely with other staff.
  • Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and adhere to all Safe Church ministry protocols.
  • A commitment to being an active person within our church community.
