An exciting opportunity exists to develop a role in a progressive business owned by a Christian Family that recognises that operating a business is a God given calling and gifting. The role will be one of providing support, encouragement, good systems and have a significant focus on people and culture. The successful applicant will bring a positive, proactive attitude, have an eye for process and detail but will be a "people person".
If you have either Pastoral or Human Resources experience and qualifications, this would be a great chance to expand on these skills with a new challenge in the workplace in a multifaceted/multilocation organisation.

- The ability to demonstrate sound communication skills including sound public speaking ability.
- The ability to display initiative, problem-solve and prioritise work needs will be pivotal to success in this role.
- Becoming a trusted People & Culture manager will include the need to support supervisors and managers with accurate and timely support/advice including administration on a diverse range of relevant people and HR topics across the employee life cycle whilst maintaining HR practices that comply with legislative requirements.
- Assisting managers on recruitment matters; supporting recruitment, selection and induction of employees.
- Foster and develop the safety culture including adherence to workplace WHS policies and procedures and current legislation, as well as assisting in the management of WHS policies and procedures including their currency and effectiveness.
- Being a key contributor to a culture of engagement, collaboration and high performance.
- Committed to operational excellence and training and supporting others to reach this objective.
- Possessing an attention for detail and an ability to drive People and Culture improvements.
- Self-motivation and an ability to think outside the box.
- An attitude of continuous improvement with the ability to see the bigger picture, solving issues and making things happen.
- Involved with evaluation and feedback processes and supporting professional development and self-improvement objectives of team members.
The Position:
You will play a key part in developing and coordinating initiatives that enhance a positive workplace culture, encouraging individual employees to develop, grow and even to take on new opportunities of self-development and training. The role will have a significant focus on building workforce capacity and resilience and work ethic amongst the team.
- Supporting and developing good systems, policies, and procedures.
- Being an intentional, positive and encouraging influence upon the workplace.
- Managing and supporting apprenticeships, traineeship programs and work experience.
- Supporting sick or injured workers and supporting their return to work.
- Organising staff training programs and other organisational workforce programs.
- Demonstrated, good understanding of the key functions of human resource management functions.
- Involvement with recruitment, selection, induction, WHS, training and record keeping.
