Your new role
We are seeking to appoint a Chief Information Officer (CIO) who will work closely with key executive stakeholders and lead the Information Technology Services (ITS) function to enhance the user experience for our staff, residents, and clients.
The CIO reports to the Chief Executive Officer and works closely with the Executive management team. As a full-time position heading up the Information Technology function in Anglicare, the CIO will drive a customer-centric performance culture that is people led and technology enabled.
The CIO will provide people and organisational leadership to deliver integrated and consistent ICT strategic planning, capacity delivery and ongoing operations. As a member of the Anglicare Executive Leadership team, the CIO will be expected to contribute to the overall strategic planning and operational capacity of the organisation.
You will provide oversight of the design, development, operation and support of IT systems and services that form our digital ecosystem, paying particular attention to implementing a holistic and consistent enterprise architecture. Continuing to lead the evolution of the cyber security maturity uplift roadmap will ensure that appropriate security systems and processes are in place, protecting our overall privacy, integrity, and intellectual property. Leading by example, you will focus on developing and motivating your team to foster professional growth, high performance and commitment to delivering high quality service and improvement focused mindset.
The role has specific focus on Digital, Data & Automation that will deliver a modern and forward-thinking digital capability to enable customer self-service, improved staff productivity and collaboration with digitally enabled partners. You will have demonstrated abilities to develop and implement strategy for leveraging innovative technologies such as AI/ML, Prop Tech and IoT, while developing enterprise-wide views of Anglicare Sydney to support well-informed business decision-making and alignment of IT investment to business goals.
The role will be a key leader of innovation championing the development of test & learn methodologies, continuous improvement, proof-of-concept and piloting capabilities. You will be expected to build on, or develop relationships with technology leaders in similar organisations, engage with industry associations and establish contacts with forward-thinking players in the technology market with a view to identifying collaboration and partnership opportunities.
About you;
- A results based commercial focus supported by strong data driven analytical capability.
- High level leadership skills, together with professional standards of planning and budgeting.
- A proven record of high-level expertise and experience in leading a multidisciplinary technology portfolio, preferably in a small to medium financial/operations corporate environment.
- A technical awareness of the predominant IT landscapes and the potential emerging IT trends, challenges, opportunities, and best practice, preferably with in the banking industry.
- Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems and business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to present compelling business recommendations at an executive and board level.
