The Churches of Christ Conference Executive is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Ministry to provide strategic, spiritual and cultural leadership across the Churches of Christ Network in New South Wales and the ACT. The role has a primary focus on the Conference Church Network and its church-based ministry activities.
As the senior executive leader, the role is responsible for guiding the Network's vision, identity, and mission in alignment with the ethos and objectives of Churches of Christ in New South Wales.
The Director of Ministry will possess:
- A mature Christian faith and alignment with the theological convictions of Churches of Christ in NSW and ACT.
- Proven experience in senior leadership within a Churches of Christ church context.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in theology and ministry, leadership, or a related field
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience, including in strategic planning, organisational leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong strategic thinking and vision-setting capabilities, and excellent communication and relational skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders;
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, building trust, fostering relational credibility, and inspiring alignment across diverse stakeholders;
- Deep understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management in a ministry context, along with demonstrated business capabilities, including the ability to steward resources wisely, understand financial and operational systems, and contribute to sustainable ministry models;
- High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.
