Head of the Lang Walker School of Business

The Scots College

Bellevue Hill, Sydney NSW

Full Time Position | Start Early 2026 (by negotiation)

The Heart of the Role

The Head of the Lang Walker School of Business leads an exceptional team of educators dedicated to inspiring young men to think critically, lead boldly, and engage ethically in the world of business, economics, and law.

At the heart of this role is a commitment to developing a world-class educational experience that connects theory with real-world application, where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to achieve their personal best.

You will oversee the strategic and operational leadership of Business Studies, Economics, Commerce, and Legal Studies across the Middle and Senior Schools, as well as the College’s applied and diploma programs. Working closely with senior academic leaders, you will guide a team that embodies excellence, innovation, and the character of a Scots education.

Who are you?

You are an accomplished and visionary Christian educational leader with a deep understanding of business, economics, and commerce education in Years 7–12 settings.

You bring proven experience in curriculum design, academic leadership, and team development, underpinned by a passion for inspiring students to think entrepreneurially and ethically about the world around them.

You are driven by excellence and have a track record of fostering high standards of teaching and learning.

You are relational, collaborative, and reflective, a mentor to staff and a role model to students.

You hold (or are eligible for) accreditation with NESA and a valid Working With Children Check (NSW).

Your authentic Christian faith shapes your approach to leadership, relationships, and service.

Where do you fit in?

You are energised by the opportunity to lead within a Christian, Presbyterian GPS school that is redefining boys’ education through innovation, rigour, and faith.

You thrive in a “Team of Teams” environment, partnering with academic leaders, classroom teachers, and pastoral staff to deliver a holistic and future-focused curriculum.

You see your role not only as a Head of Faculty but as a steward of influence, guiding both staff and students to act with integrity, purpose, and compassion.

How do you serve others?

You lead with vision and humility, cultivating a culture of excellence, care, and accountability across your team.

You design and oversee strategic initiatives that advance the teaching of Business, Economics, and Legal Studies in alignment with the College’s Strategic Intent and Operational Plan.

You mentor staff through professional development, collaboration, and reflective practice, ensuring that programs remain relevant, evidence-based, and inspiring.

You build strong partnerships with students, parents, and colleagues, communicating with clarity, warmth, and professionalism.

You model lifelong learning and Christian servant leadership in all that you do.

What do we offer?

An opportunity to lead a flagship faculty that is shaping the next generation of business thinkers and ethical leaders.

A dynamic and supportive environment where academic rigour and Christian faith are united in purpose.

Access to ongoing professional learning, leadership development, and a community that values innovation and collaboration.

You will also enjoy a range of staff benefits, including:

  • Free barista coffee and lunches
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Access to The Scots College transport system
  • Medical services and on-campus gym
  • Salary packaging options
