Position Overview We are seeking a visionary and mission-driven CEO to lead Focus on the Family Australia (FOTFA), a national Christian organisation dedicated to strengthening marriages and equipping parents, engaging with culture, and strengthening partnerships to promote FOTFA, all through Christian principles. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership in growing FOTFA’s core priorities while ensuring operational excellence and sustainable growth of programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Drive the implementation of the organisation's strategic plan across key priority areas: marriage, parenting, engaging culture, partnerships, and financial management
- Provide visionary leadership aligned with Christian values and organisational mission
- Oversee the development and growth of new programs, events, and resources.
- Program Management & Development
- Direct the execution of marriage retreats, webinars, conferences, seminars and resource development
- Oversee parenting resource development and webinar programs
- Start and grow cultural transformation programs and initiatives
- Ensure quality content creation for podcasts and radio programs.
- Partnership & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Churches, Christian schools, radio stations, and other faith-based organisations
- Oversee collaboration with existing partners, Christian Media Arts Australia (CMAA), Christian Counsellors Association Australia (CCAA), Christian Youth Camps (CYC), and other partner organisations
- Develop relationships with radio stations CEOs and station managers, Church leaders, denominational leaders, Christian schools networks and Bible Colleges.
- Financial Stewardship
- Ensure cost-efficient management of organisational funds towards organisational growth through programs and donations
- Drive donor development and relationship management with larger donors
- Oversee fundraising initiatives and donor engagement strategies
- Manage financial relationships with strategic partners.
- Operational Excellence
- Lead and develop the staff and senior management team
- Ensure efficient resource allocation across programs and initiatives
- Manage risk mitigation strategies
- Report to Board on financial performance, strategic progress, compliance, risk exposures, and organisational growth opportunities.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in faith-based or nonprofit organisations
- Proven track record in organisational growth and program development.
