You’ll deliver high-quality property management on behalf of our property owners and lead community engagement initiatives that improve outcomes for community housing tenants. This role balances private property management with community program facilitation, supporting both our tenants and Housing Officers. Our work is challenging but highly rewarding, you’ll help to create real solutions and help people find a home.
You'll be expected to make a valuable impact and:
- Manage a portfolio of privately owned/managed properties (Trust portfolio)
- Deliver end-to-end property and tenancy management, including:
- Tenant applications, sign-ups, renewals, and end-of-tenancy processes
- Rent and arrears management, inspections, maintenance coordination
- Breach and complaint management, SACAT preparation, bond claims
- Ensure compliance with legislation, contracts, and Cornerstone’s standards
- Develop, coordinate, and support the delivery of our community engagement programs
- Build relationships with tenants, community partners, and government agencies
- Provide backup support to Housing Officers in the social/community housing portfolio
What you’ll bring
- Property Management Qualification/Registration (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong administration and documentation skills
- Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing deadlines and priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Current driver licence and ability to obtain required clearances
