The Opportunity

  • Location: Brisbane (Springwood) QLD
  • Role Type: Full-time | Content & Media

We’re seeking a skilled and mission-aligned Content Writer to join Vision Christian Media’s Digital and Published Media Team. This role plays a vital part in shaping high-quality written content that helps people across Australia look to God daily.

Working under the direction of the Director of Digital and Published Media, you will transform audio, video, transcripts and source material into engaging, accessible articles for Vision’s digital and published platforms. Role Purpose

  • Deliver high‑quality, mission‑aligned written content across Vision’s digital and published platforms.
    • Repurpose source material into clear, engaging, consumer‑facing articles.
    • Ensure excellence in editing, proofreading, SEO optimisation, and CMS publishing.
    • Champion Vision’s brand voice, editorial standards, and theological integrity.

Key Responsibilities

As Content Writer, you will work collaboratively across Content, Digital, Marketing, and Creative Teams to support Vision’s integrated ministry strategy. Your responsibilities will include repurposing interviews, transcripts, and submissions into accessible written content, refining long‑form or complex material for digital and print audiences, and ensuring all content aligns with Vision’s editorial standards and ministry objectives.

You will proofread and sub‑edit content produced by internal teams and external contributors, reviewing copy within graphic design layouts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Working closely with designers, you’ll help resolve copy or presentation issues prior to publication and ensure all final outputs meet Vision’s quality, brand, and executive standards.

The role also involves publishing approved content into Vision’s content management systems, applying best‑practice SEO principles, and conducting final checks to ensure content displays correctly across platforms and devices. You will update or amend published content as required to maintain accuracy, relevance, and performance.

Central to the role is maintaining a consistent written voice that reflects Vision’s mission, values, and Christian beliefs, ensuring theological soundness and compliance with organisational, legal, and usage‑rights requirements.

Successful Candidate Profile

This role suits a detail-oriented writer and editor with a strong Christian faith and a passion for media-based ministry. You will bring demonstrated experience in copywriting, editing, journalism, or content production, with the proven ability to repurpose audio, video, and transcript-based material into compelling written content.

You will have strong proofreading and sub-editing skills, experience working with a CMS, and a practical understanding of SEO principles. The ideal candidate values collaboration, communicates clearly, manages multiple tasks with confidence, and consistently delivers high-quality work aligned with Vision’s mission and values.

Experience in Christian media, digital publishing workflows, or proofing copy within design layouts is advantageous, as are formal qualifications in communications, journalism, media, or a related field.

As a representative of Vision Christian Media, it is a genuine occupational requirement of all roles that staff align with, hold, and act consistently with Vision’s core values and religious beliefs: https://vision.org.au/core-beliefs
