National Youth and Schools Lead

Our mission is rooted in making a tangible difference in people’s lives through faith-driven initiatives.

 

THE ROLE:

As our National Youth and Schools Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in amplifying Global Mission Partners’ mission through engaging young people in Christian schools and church youth groups and overseeing our annual Safe Water September appeal. Your creativity will help us connect with youth audiences nationally, focusing on digital platforms to inspire participation and support.

 

Reports To: National Church Relationship Manager
Team: Engagement Team
Nature of Appointment: 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours/week)
Workplace: Hybrid (can be based in either Blackburn-VIC or Rhodes-NSW)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network with Australian schools and church youth groups to mobilise participation in GMP’s Safe Water September campaign which engages 400 participants and raises over $200,000 each year.
  • Develop, coordinate, and schedule content across web and digital channels in alignment with our organisation communications strategy.
  • Create innovative and relevant content for our annual Safe Water September campaign, targeting youth and young adults.
  • Contribute to the wider Engagement Team and the mission of Global Mission Partners.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • A strong alignment with our vision and values, and a personal commitment to holistic Christian mission and development.
  • 3-5yrs experience inspiring youth audiences through storytelling and managing successful fundraising appeals.
  • Qualifications in marketing, communications, media and/or fundraising (preferable).
  • Desirable: Previous International NGO experience.
