The Anglican Parish of Devonport has been on an exciting trajectory over the last five years. While the congregation is mainly an older demographic, they are increasingly seeing signs of renewal as new people connect with the church and some younger working age men, women and families are calling Devonport Anglican home. Upon this foundation, there are many opportunities to develop the ministry in Devonport, including:

• Building stronger connections with families and younger generations and expanding existing children and youth ministries
• Growing outreach and evangelism within the community
• Increasing the visibility and accessibility of the church during the week
• Developing new leaders and ministry teams
• Strengthening partnerships with other churches and community organisations

Devonport Anglican is seeking a Rector who will help them continue to grow as a church that is grounded in Scripture, rich in prayer, committed to discipleship, and active in mission. Together with the new Rector, they want to see more people in Devonport come to know Jesus, grow in faith, and become part of their vibrant Christian community. The congregation is eager to explore creative ways of engaging with the wider Devonport community while remaining grounded in Scripture and prayer.
