Your Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager Finance Operations, this pivotal role oversees Anglicare’s financial reporting, financial control and finance operations across a complex, multi‑entity not‑for‑profit environment delivering aged care, housing and community services.
This is a hands‑on Financial Controller role with a strong focus on statutory and consolidated reporting, balance sheet integrity and transaction accuracy. You will play a key role in strengthening the organisation’s technical accounting capability, including supporting evolving consolidation and reporting requirements as Anglicare continues to grow.
You will ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting while maintaining strong internal financial controls in an environment where systems, processes and reporting frameworks are continuing to mature. Alongside this, you will lead key transactional finance functions and partner closely with senior stakeholders, auditors and regulators.
Through sound judgement, strong technical expertise and collaborative leadership, you will support informed decision‑making and help safeguard Anglicare’s financial sustainability and reputation.
With integrity and accountability, you will:
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual statutory and consolidated financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, balance sheet and financial reporting structures across a complex, multi‑entity environment
- Oversee statutory reporting, external audits and regulatory financial reporting, acting as a key point of contact with auditors and regulators
- Ensure strong internal financial controls, governance frameworks and delegations are consistently applied
- Provide hands‑on technical accounting leadership, supporting evolving consolidation and reporting requirements
- Lead and develop the financial accounting and transactional finance functions, uplifting capability and consistency
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting efficiency and data quality
What you’ll bring
You are a confident, values‑aligned finance leader who brings strong technical judgement and a collaborative, hands‑on approach to complex environments.
You bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CA or CPA qualification
- Strong technical accounting experience, including statutory reporting, balance sheet management and consolidation in complex or multi‑entity environments
- Proven experience managing transactional finance functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Strong experience leading external audits and regulatory financial reporting
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence working across evolving financial systems
- Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to develop teams and uplift finance capability
