About MMM Australia

MMM Australia is a Christian mission providing volunteer labour and practical building services to organisations with a Christian outreach focus. We are a small not-for-profit with a large national footprint, operating from a Melbourne-based head office and supporting work across Australia and overseas.

Our work is funded primarily through donations, supported by income from leased properties and occasional grants. We are part of an international alliance of MMM affiliates and are committed to strong governance, stewardship, and mission alignment.

About the Role

This is a designated faith-based leadership role. Applicants must be committed Christians who are in full agreement with MMM Australia’s Philosophy of Ministry and values. Experience in leadership within a Christian ministry or mission context is considered essential.

We are seeking a capable and values-aligned Operations Manager to support the CEO by taking primary responsibility for organisational operations.

This role is hands-on and broad in scope. It suits someone who enjoys improving systems, ensuring compliance, stewarding resources well, and supporting staff and volunteers in a mission-driven environment. By providing operational leadership, this role enables the CEO to focus more fully on vision, partnerships, and mission development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day organisational operations
  • Develop, implement, and improve operational systems and processes
  • Manage facilities, vehicles, equipment, and asset registers
  • Oversee IT systems, data management, and technology improvements
  • Support WHS compliance, risk management, and governance requirements
  • Manage grants, insurance, leases, and operational contracts
  • Support staff and volunteer onboarding, training, and operational leadership
  • Provide regular operational reporting to the CEO

About You

You will bring:

  • Experience in operations management, administration, or a similar senior role
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • An understanding of governance, compliance, or accountability frameworks in Australia
  • A practical, hands-on approach and comfort working in a small team

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience in a not-for-profit, community, or volunteer-led organisation
  • Exposure to facilities, property, IT systems, or compliance-heavy environments
  • Alignment with Christian values and the mission of MMM Australia

Why Join Us

  • Purpose-driven work with real community impact
  • Flexible, part-time role
  • Opportunity to shape and strengthen organisational systems
  • Collaborative and values-based workplace

Applications should include cover letter, resume, and 2 professional and 1 faith‑based referees.  Applications close 20th May 2026
