National Strategy Director – Youth

Power to Change Australia is seeking a senior Christian leader to serve as National Strategy Director (NSD) – Youth, providing national leadership to a growing disciple-making movement among young people across Australia.
For more than 40 years, Power to Change’s Youth Strategy has been helping young people come to know Jesus, grow as His disciples, and be equipped for lifelong mission and leadership. Today, a highly committed team is seeing strong ministry fruit through school engagement, relational discipleship, leadership development, and innovative digital ministry approaches.
This role will help shape the next phase of growth.
The successful candidate will lead within one of Australia’s most integrated ministry ecosystems, working collaboratively across Youth, Campus, Church Movements, Digital, Global Aid Network (GAiN), and international ministry partnerships to strengthen disciple-making pathways for the next generation.
Key Responsibilities
Direction Setting
- Develop and implement a national strategy for youth disciple-making aligned with Power to Change’s mission and the global priorities of Campus Crusade for Christ International
- Identify opportunities for innovation, expansion, and multiplication in a rapidly changing youth ministry landscape
- Establish clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and healthy leadership structures
Leadership Development
- Build, develop, and lead leaders and teams across diverse ministry contexts
- Strengthen leadership pipelines for emerging youth leaders and disciple-makers
- Foster healthy team culture, collaboration, and long-term ministry sustainability
Movement Building
- Strengthen pathways between Youth, Campus, Church Movements, Digital, and local church engagement
- Mobilise young people into ongoing discipleship, mission, leadership, and cross-cultural ministry
- Integrate digital innovation and in-person ministry to reach and disciple young Australians effectively
Partnerships and Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with other National Strategy Directors and the National Leadership Team
- Strengthen partnerships with churches, schools, Christian organisations, and ministry networks
- Engage with Campus Crusade for Christ International ministries and partners across the Pacific, South Asia, South East Asia, and beyond
Communication and Representation
- Champion the vision of disciple-making among young people within Power to Change and the wider Christian community
- Contribute to recruitment, fundraising, strategic growth, and ministry expansion
- Represent Power to Change in national and international ministry conversations and partnerships
About You
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in ministry, church, non-profit, or movement-based contexts
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and multiply leaders and teams
- Strong strategic thinking, execution, and organisational leadership capability
- Passion for evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, and reaching the next generation
- Personal alignment with Power to Change’s statement of faith and disciple-making mission
- Active involvement in a local church
- Capacity to lead collaboratively within a complex and nationally distributed organisation
Important Information
This is a mission-supported role. The successful candidate will be required to:
- Build and maintain a personal Ministry Partner Team (financial and prayer support)
- Raise funds for salary and ministry expenses
- Engage others in supporting the mission and ministry of Power to Change
Training, coaching, and ongoing support are provided.
