Assistant Principal Full-time | Executive Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, faith-filled and strategic educational leader to join our Executive Team as Assistant Principal.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Principal, the Assistant Principal is the second-in-charge (2IC) and has College-wide responsibility for the strategic leadership and alignment of teaching and learning, student wellbeing and faith integration.
This role leads the Lead Education Team, including the Heads of Primary and Secondary and the Head of Teaching and Learning, and is responsible for ensuring alignment, consistency and ongoing improvement across K–12 education at the College.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading teaching and learning, curriculum and pedagogical direction across K–12
- Driving continuous improvement in student outcomes through evidence-informed practice
- Providing strategic oversight of student wellbeing, chaplaincy and support services
- Operate effectively at both a strategic and operational level, translating vision into consistent College-wide practice
- Leading teacher accreditation, appraisal and staff development
- Contributing to Executive Team decision-making, strategy and College-wide planning
- Strengthening a Christ-centred culture across all areas of College life

About You
You are a highly capable educational leader who:
- Demonstrates a strong and authentic Christian faith, lived out in leadership and relationships
- Has significant experience leading whole-school improvement in teaching and learning, through others
- Is strategically minded, while also relational and people-focused
- Can lead, mentor and develop staff and emerging leaders
- Has experience in student wellbeing leadership or oversight
- Is committed to excellence, growth and Christ-centred education
Selection Criteria
Please address the following in your application:
- Demonstrated personal relationship with Jesus Christ, regular attendance at a Christian church, and willingness to uphold and model the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, child safety principles in an educational setting, including awareness of mandatory reporting responsibilities and safe practices when working with children and families.
- Current NSW Teacher Accreditation and Working with Children Check.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in education, ideally at postgraduate level, with substantial experience in teaching and learning leadership.
- Deep knowledge of curriculum design, assessment and pedagogy across K–12, with the ability to integrate a biblical worldview and apply current educational research to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience providing strategic oversight of student wellbeing or support functions, including sound judgement in prioritisation, resourcing and risk management.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships, lead and mentor staff, influence culture and contribute to strategic planning within a Christian educational context.
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning, reflection and innovation in educational leadership.
