THE POSITION

Due to continued growth across the College and a recent organisational restructure, Hillcrest Christian College is seeking a passionate and visionary Educational Leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Head of Junior Learning Community in a permanent full-time capacity.

This significant leadership role provides strategic and operational oversight of teaching and learning, student wellbeing, staff leadership and the daily operations of the Junior Learning Community, while fostering a strong Christ-centred culture of excellence, accountability and care.

Working closely with the Executive and College Leadership Team, the Head of Junior Learning Community will lead and support staff in delivering high-quality teaching, contemporary and innovative curriculum practices, and meaningful learning experiences aligned with the College’s Vision, Mission, Values and Strategic Priorities.

The role also plays a key part in mentoring emerging leaders, strengthening partnerships with families, leading strategic initiatives and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement grounded in faith, collaboration and service.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher with current QCT registration, demonstrated educational leadership experience, strong relational capability and a passion for Christian education and Junior Years pedagogy.

ROLE ALIGNMENT

The successful applicant would demonstrate:

  • A passion for Christian education and working within a Christ-centred community
  • Proven educational leadership capability with the ability to lead, mentor and develop staff
  • Strong relational and communication skills, with the ability to build authentic partnerships with students, families and colleagues
  • Strategic thinking, initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Relevant qualification and experience as outlined in the Employment Pack
  • Current Queensland College of Teachers registration
