Board Positions (Non-Executive Directors)

Website: www.life-gate.org Life-Gate Inc – There's always hope!

About the organisation.

Life-Gate Inc. (Life-Gate) is a not-for-profit (NFP), incorporated association and a registered charity with the ACNC. Life-Gate Inc is a Public Benevolent Institution, governed by a Board of Directors and offers services such as outreach, a counselling & training centre, pantry and an op shop that is located in the heart of Frankston.

Life-Gate has been bringing hope and healing to the Frankston community and surrounding areas since 1992. Life-Gate embraces a Christian ethic offering counselling for individuals, couples, and families experiencing crisis or struggling to find personal meaning in life in conjunction with addressing spiritual needs with clients if they wish. Life-Gate also provides food relief through our community pantry and other programs all at no cost to our clients. Our values are:

  1. Every human being is made in the image of God and is unique & precious, with spiritual, physical, emotional and social aspects to their being that require holistic response care.
  2. Every person is deeply loved by God, and therefore our services are offered to all persons.
  3. The family unit is important: Life-Gate services are aimed at individuals, couples, families, and those who support them. We consider ourselves recipients of the love and grace of Christ and seek to express that same grace and self-sacrificial love to those families we reach out to.
  4. Dedication, diligence and serving others are core to our mission. We value these attributes as part of the contributions of our volunteers, student placements, staff and Board of Directors and think of our team as the ‘Life-Gate family’.
  5. Integrity, love, acceptance and a celebration of the unique gifts and abilities each volunteer brings to our team. We value a workplace environment that is characterised by these qualities.
