As an Activities officer you’ll deliver programs to student groups in a small environment working both independently and with other members of staff.

Oasis Camp delivers high quality programs to primary and high school groups as well as hosting many other organisations each year.

We are proud of our 60 year history providing a place to meet, build relationships and demonstrate our Christian faith in a practical and honest way.

Due to continuing growth and staff moving in new directions, we’re looking for facilitators to join our team immediately.

We have 2 positions available with preference for workers who can do a minimum 1 weekend per month and flexibility for either morning or afternoon shifts. This can be negotiated with the right candidate

About the Role

As an Activities officer, You’ll spend your days outside, leading activities that challenge and grow young people along with being part of the general running of camp assisting in hospitality and presentation of the site.

For these roles we expect:

  • A love of working outdoors each day
  • flexibility to work with a range of ages (Years 4–12)
  • creativity in how you run programs and engage students
  • the ability to work well with others
  • flexibility to do other roles during times when activities are not running such as cleaning, hospitality and grounds presentation
  • initiative, energy, and reliability

About You

You’ll need some experience working with young people – whether in a school, coaching, mentoring, or camp setting.

Outdoor education qualifications and prior industry experience are preferred but not essential as we assess each person’s ability to learn and the individual skills they may bring to our team.

You must hold a current Working with Children Check and be willing to supply a police check before commencement.

If you think that Oasis Camp may be the right job for you we would love to hear from you.
