Anglican Youthworks is seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to join our Donor & Community Relations team. This is an opportunity to use your fundraising expertise to grow sustainable support for gospel ministries that help children and young people follow Jesus for life.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Donor and Community Relations, the Fundraising Manager will lead the strategy, development and delivery of multi-channel fundraising campaigns, regular giving and gifts-in-wills initiatives. The role will strengthen donor stewardship, optimise supporter journeys and help expand the reach and impact of Youthworks ministries, with a particular focus on Special Religious Education (SRE).

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated fundraising campaigns across direct mail, digital, email, social media, SMS, phone and multimedia channels.
  • Create clear, compelling, accurate and on-brand supporter communications that drive engagement and income.
  • Optimise supporter journeys to acquire new donors, retain active donors and re-engage lapsed donors.
  • Cultivate and grow mid-level and major donor relationships through targeted communications, donor events and program visits.
  • Lead the Guardians of Faith monthly giving program and oversee the Gifts in Wills program.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, using insights to improve acquisition, retention, donor experience and revenue outcomes.
  • Supervise and support the Donor Relations Assistant, fostering a productive and Christ-centred team culture.
  • Assist with fundraising budgets, forecasts, reporting and the ongoing optimisation of fundraising systems and data quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on fundraising projects, and assist with grant research and submissions as required.

You will need to demonstrate

  • A mature Christian faith, active church involvement and a passion for helping young people come to know and love Jesus.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or a related discipline.
  • At least three years of proven fundraising experience, with demonstrated results across appeals, regular giving, bequests and grants.
  • Excellent written communication, copywriting and editing skills across diverse audiences and channels.
  • Strong donor and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Highly developed organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical capability and the ability to apply performance insights to improve outcomes.
  • A strategic, self-motivated and collaborative approach, with strong attention to detail and customer focus.
  • Experience in team leadership or staff management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and fundraising systems, including CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce.
  • A current NSW Working With Children Check and valid driver licence.

Desirable

  • Completion of recognised church-based safe ministry or safe church training.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Mental Health First Aider certification.
