Strength Potential
Strength Potential is a faith-based Incorporated Association located on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. We are dedicated to empowering young people who face wellbeing challenges that limit their ability to engage confidently in daily life, learning, and community. Our mission is to help them identify their strengths, build resilience, and reach their potential through evidence-based mentoring and wellbeing programs.
About the Role
As a member of the Management Committee, you will provide strategic governance and oversight to ensure Strength Potential continues to fulfil its mission while remaining financially sustainable, compliant and true to its Christian values.
This is a voluntary position, with the opportunity to use your skills, experience and personal values to make a meaningful contribution, helping young people overcome the barriers that stand in the way of their wellbeing and future.
The Board meets four times per year in person on the Sunshine Coast, with occasional online meetings, usually focused on a single issue.
We are seeking individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Governance and Board Experience
- Finance, Accounting or Audit
- Legal, Compliance or Risk Management
- Fundraising and Philanthropy
- Marketing and Communications
- Business Development and Strategic Planning
- Project Management
- Lived experience relevant to our mission
We are looking for people who:
- Demonstrate integrity, wisdom and sound judgement
- Support and respect the Christian foundation and ethos of Strength Potential
- Have strong governance and strategic thinking skills
- Are committed to serving the community through ethical leadership
- Can contribute their professional expertise while working collaboratively
- Are willing to actively participate in Management Committee meetings
Previous Board or Committee experience is desirable but not essential.
