Connections Pastor
We are seeking a Connections Pastor who is passionate about making disciples and will oversee our Welcome and Connections strategies and processes, our Discipleship and Evangelism programs, and various Pastoral Support systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide key leadership for various welcome, connection and discipleship programs
- Identify, recruit and develop volunteer leaders
- Implement clear and strategic programs that support the ministry and mission of NewHope
- Ensure effective pastoral care structures and processes are provided through various ministries at NewHope
Key Selection Criteria
- A vibrant and passionate Christian with demonstrated character and commitment to spiritual growth
- Experience in Pastoral Leadership with a sense of call to see people follow Jesus
- Ability to provide strategic leadership, and work collaboratively within a team environment and build healthy, thriving ministry teams and leaders
- Strong public and personal communication skills
- Relevant theological qualifications or willingness to pursue theological training
NewHope Baptist Church is a large, vibrant and growing church community located in Blackburn North in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We exist with a clear mission to reach our community with the good news of Jesus in a multi-generational, multi-congregational and multi-ethnic context. We have a passion for seeing people discover hope, grow in faith, and make a difference to the world around them.
This is a full-time position, including Sundays. We are hoping to see the successful applicant starting in January 2027, or by negotiation.
