Kids’ Pastor 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Kids’ Pastor to join our Generations team and provide spiritual and strategic leadership to our Children’s ministry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide key leadership to our kids’ ministry programs
• Identify, recruit, and develop volunteer leaders and teams
• Create engaging Sunday programs for our pre-school and primary-aged kids
• Develop clear discipleship programs and pathways for kids moving through different grades and into youth
• Partner with parents and families in discipling their children

Key Selection Criteria

• A vibrant and passionate Christian with a commitment to seeing the next generation grow in their faith in Christ
• Character, experience and leadership skills to build healthy, thriving ministry
• Experience in Kids’ ministry
• Strong communication skills that engage children and young people
• Able to provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively within a team environment
• Relevant theological qualifications or willingness to pursue theological training

NewHope Baptist Church is a large, vibrant and growing church community located in Blackburn North in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We exist with a clear mission to reach our community with the good news of Jesus in a multi-generational, multi-congregational and multi-ethnic context. We have a passion for seeing people discover hope, grow in faith, and make a difference to the world around them. 

This is a full-time position, including Sundays. We are hoping to see the successful applicant starting in January 2027, or by negotiation.
